SchoolAIR Project

Environmental Education Through Citizen Science - Learn the technology. Deploy your solution. Act on the data. Make your community healthier.

Our Three Pillars

🎓 Educate Kids

Students learn real-world STEM skills by building and programming air quality monitors. They gain hands-on experience with IoT sensors, microcontrollers (M5Stack, ESP32), MicroPython programming, and data visualization - skills that prepare them for tomorrow's technology careers.

🛡️ Protect Kids

Our monitors measure PM1, PM2.5, and PM10 particles in real-time, both inside classrooms and near play areas. Automated alerts notify schools when pollutant levels become unhealthy, allowing immediate protective actions like improved ventilation or moving activities indoors.

📊 Gather Data for Change

Data from our global network provides hyperlocal air quality information that goes beyond government monitoring stations. This citizen-generated data helps local authorities justify infrastructure improvements - from traffic management to green spaces - that improve air quality for everyone.
